So we're over an hour late starting today on our recording.

Would you like to tell everybody, Gray, why that is?

0:09.1

It was a snow day.

0:10.4

It is snow day. It is snowing in London. We have had enough snow in that it makes a significant difference,

0:20.4

which is not a lot of snow for London, but it doesn't have to be a lot, right,

0:24.8

for it to make a big difference, but it's very cold here right now and there is some snow.

0:29.1

As always with these things, if you post on the internet that your city has snow and things are closing down.

0:36.0

People from the northern Arctic wastelands will get in touch and they'll tell you about how you don't know or understand what snow is, right?

0:45.8

That your baby, it's like, this is, yeah, I know that there's more snow in places that are colder.

0:50.9

That's never the question. It's entirely a question of how economically

I immediately opened up carrot weather and saw that there was going to continue to be a lot of snow, and I immediately declared it a gray industry snow day.

1:35.0

right out the window it goes.

1:36.8

And I just ran into the streets, and it was great.

1:40.1

I spent all morning wandering around Central London enjoying the snow and it was glorious.

1:47.0

But I did send you a message as soon as I possibly could, like as soon as I popped up in Trafalgar Square,

1:51.0

I was like, oh, oh, it's not a snow day for relay industries. Mike's still going to want to record the podcast.

1:58.0

So I sent you a message to try to give you a heads up that I was going to be.

2:02.0

Almost certainly late, coming back, which I was.

2:06.1

But I liked that you attempted to sweeten this by sending me picture updates every now and then

2:11.9

of the interesting things that you were finding around London.

2:15.0

Like, look, it's so nice.
