Hi everybody, welcome back to the Be There In 5 podcast.

I am Kate Kennedy, your host.

And if you'll allow me to introduce myself in under two minutes, I'll keep it short.

These deep dives bring in a lot of new people, so I know I do the same spiel over and over,

but I want people to understand why I'm here in my background and why I might have certain perspectives on things.

And above all else, just to welcome you with some context,

because I'm so, so grateful to anybody that came here to get my opinion on all things T-Swift.

I am an entrepreneur, best known for inventing something called the Remindor mat through my name,

State Company Be There In 5.

Many moons ago when I was at a corporate marketing job helping brands place their ads and T-B in digital properties.

And just kind of getting a crash course in the media industry,

I decided to start a small dormat biz on the side as every parent dreams their child does.

And one day when paralyzed with fear that I was going to burn down my apartment by leaving my curling iron on,

I'll off B.B. and Rachel, I decided that I would use my dormat as a canvas and I would turn it upside down

and use it to remind me of things on my way out instead of a welcome method, C.D. on your way in.

That is how Be There In 5, the company was born.

It takes off, I leave my job, I'm thrust into the lonely world of self-employment.

I become obsessed with listening to podcasts and due to my Instagram following from my company,

I start talking about the stuff I care about, which is popular culture.

And before I knew it, I became better known for talking about pop culture and a somewhat unfounded and highly editorialized manner.

More so than I was ever known for the business itself.
