Hello, everyone. This is an episode of Rebs Roundup, an episode where I go down a rapid fire list of cases that deserve to be in the rebuttal podcast universe but don't have enough substance maybe to be their own episode. This is me summarizing an ongoing list of them that I keep that doesn't spare the dirty details if I don't have to, but a few of them for this episode,

I do have to go and give you a little bit more context because it's worth it. But otherwise,

sit back, buckle up and try to keep your jaws off the floor. A Battle Creek, Michigan,

animal control officer allegedly demands that two civilians go corral a dangerous dog while the officer sits comfortably

in the cab of his truck. The dog, predictably, mauls them both. Two out of the three circuit court

judges on this Sixth Circuit panel held that, yeah, that may have been an ungentlemanly act,

but it was not an unconstitutional one. Next case. Ice agent,

escorting passenger from Dallas to Miami, takes upskirt pictures and videos of flight attendant.

He's convicted of interfering with her flight crew duties sentenced to two years probation.

The agent argues that he didn't know she was aware of his, quote, clandestine video voyeurism.

And that was an essential element of this crime and therefore my conviction should be overturned.

His appeal goes up to the 11th Circuit and the 11th Circuit says, ooh, it is not.

Conviction affirmed.

Quote, no fraud is more odious than an attempt to subvert the

administration of justice. When an opinion starts that way, you know you're in for a bad time. So it is,

in this First Circuit case involving a Puerto Rico man who tried to get his ex-wife not to testify

against him in a civil case by promising to agree to her proposed custody agreement

as part of their divorce and ongoing custody battle. You can't do that. As we say on this podcast,

in most very tenuous, contentious, heated custody disputes, custody battles. There has to be at

least one party sometimes, too, who hate their former partner
