I'm doing great Jay, how are you?

Oh, I'm doing great. It feels a little bit like deja vu and for the listeners out there that don't know what

Pat and I kind of were chuckling about before this podcast started is after the Arizona mule deer season the strip

Pat and I did what I thought was an incredible

kind of a recap of the Arizona deer seasons

and we talked about OTC Deer and it's out of 644

episodes it's the first time that for whatever reason the software that I used to

record did not record the episode I basically got a blank episode

so I had to call Pat and say that hour and a half that you spent with me where we went into deep dark details and is now gone.

And Pat being the guy who has just said, oh well, we'll have to do it again.

So today we're going to talk about the Arizona the 2020 Elk applications with the new regs coming out and talk about Elk, but we're going to probably recap a little bit on the mule deer.

So Pat, I apologize again for the mishap but we're

going to do the best we can today. Yeah I'm excited it'll be a really good podcast.

Pat, for the listeners that don't know you, why don't you give kind of a brief history on you and Bob Dyckman as far as your partnership and the area of focus that you guys,

a little bit of history where you live and all that.

Okay, so yeah, I grew up in the Prescott area.

Grew up here, fortunate to be able to hunt and fish and spend most of my time in Northern Arizona and throughout the state just hunting various species and enjoying all the outdoor activities that Arizona really has to offer and started guiding when I was young. Got my guide license right after

turned 18 and basically just started spotting and doing everything that I could to get in the woods and back then it was quite a bit easier to draw tags but it started getting harder and harder, you know, eventually to where it is now and the real reason I started guiding was to be able to go on more hunts.

I've got a large family but we still were not getting a lot of tags.
