If you study theology, the other side of the quote you're probably more familiar with is

without knowledge of God, there is no knowledge of self. And again if you spent

38 seconds around church world you would expect the pastor to say that. Well without

knowledge of God Kevin you can never know yourself.

But actually Calvin it's a two-prong quote and most theologians miss the other part

without knowledge of self there's no knowledge of God without knowledge of God there's no knowledge of self and God, there's no knowledge of God, there's no knowledge of self.

And I think what's lacking in a lot of people,

for sure, inside the church

and definitely outside the church,

is that self-awareness.

So my business partner, a medical doctor, says the most dangerous thing is, well, we don't

know what we don't know.

And I find this to be so true.

It's what we're blind to that most often takes us down, takes us out. It creeps up on us.
