Jackie and Johnny Gibson experienced crushing grief with the death and stillbirth

of their child at 39 weeks. They've written two books, one for mothers and one for kids, to help

the church process this devastating form of loss while holding on to the comfort of Christ.

I was thinking this morning about the beauty of the life that God has given Luella and me that we are

constantly surrounded by wonderful godly people who love Jesus and love his

people and love his word and produce wonderful things for the church. Monday we

fly to Geneva to be part of a Gospel Coalition conference there,

and I was in my preparation just thinking how blessed I am that this is what I do.

And I get to live in God's Word every day of my life and think about how to communicate

the most important message that's ever been put down on paper to people in ways that are

accessible and heart and life transforming and that's just a very sweet existence for which I am deeply grateful.

Sometimes when I'm flying to a then, I think that a big back black planes are going to surround

my plane and take it off to a location and say, this was a big massive mistake. You're too much

of a mess to ever do this.

And I think one of the reasons God called me to what I do is so I'd have my face in the

gospel every day of my life because I'm a mess.

But today is an example of just how sweet our life is with, we are here today with Jackie and Johnny Gibson.
