Laura Lisa, it's Ken Carlson, I'm thrilled to be here. I'm a writer, a producer and a director in the Hollywood Hills here of California.

And today we're going to be talking about a documentary movie that you made which touched all of us here at Real Crime Profile, particularly in its focus on the victims of war crimes in Sudan.

It's a film that I recently completed and there's a narrative that I run through. It's a friend of my Tom Katina. He's the only doctor within 200 miles for about a million people in this war torn area.

And the documentary is called The Heart of Nuba and it's set in Sudan, the southern part of Sudan in the mountains there called the Nuba Mountains.

Correct, yes. And this is a, you know, this is next to the Blue Nile district. There's two, two regions that Omar Hassan al-Bashir, the president of Sudan is now focusing on.

He's he's worked his way through Darfur still there committing a lot of war crimes, but he's now focused on the Nuba Mountains in the Blue Nile district and he's committing genocide like he did in Darfur.

So it's a very serious thing and I decided to determine a camera on it. But once again, I, as I said before, I have a narrative that my narrative is Dr. Tom Katina. So we understand the conflict and the people in this region through his eyes.
