Hey everybody. I'm on vacation in northern Minnesota with two of my grandkids, Joe, who's

nine, and Avery is six. We're at a lodge that Fray and I love, and we took them fishing for

the first time and they loved it. I was planning on not working this week.

So instead, I recorded a conversation with Marty Short a couple weeks ago and

planned to run it with an introduction that I pre-recorded.

And that's what you're going to hear in about 10, 15 minutes. And I will tell you it is a fun one, you know,

for a change. Oh, I know. Al, you say your shows are always so substantive and enriching,

but I've never found substance and enrichment fun, Al.

And I know exactly what you're talking about.

Actually, that's not at all true. Marty, to me, is the

consummate entertainer. He does it all. You're singing, you're dancing, your impressions, your

characters. So you're going to have fun and learn a lot. We're going to have fun and learn a lot,

you know, like going to camp.

But first, since Marty and I chatted, we've had two earth-shaking events, one very, very bad,

the SCOTUS decision overturning Roe, a tragic decision, and one that arrived in a very disturbing, ugly way, and bodes very

ill for the future of the court. And I want to talk about that. Then also Cassie Hutchinson's
