Summary

You guys… I'm literally not OK after this episode and honestly neither is Sam Supa.

This week I sat down with celebrity mentalist and magician Josh Pele — yes, the man who read my mind at a sold-out show in New York and brought up a name I hadn't thought about in 20 YEARS. We talked about how he went from almost going pro in soccer to performing for 50 Cent, Jay Balvin, and Neo, his morning mindset routine, and what it's actually like to read minds for a living.

And then… we did a live trick on the podcast. And then… I called my childhood best friend. And then… everything went off the rails in the best possible way.

But I love being from Jersey. Like don't you have like a best state in the, my friend would say it's the best state in the union. It is the best state. It's so crazy like coming to Texas, like living here. The culture shock is insane. And then when I go back to Jersey, I'm like, oh my God, these people are nuts, but like, everybody's so real and raw.

It was so fun. And I remember you in the backstage, you were like maybe practicing before you went out. It was so fun. And I remember you in the backstage, you were like, maybe practicing before you went out on stage. And I was, and you asked me, like, who my childhood crush was. And you, like, got it right. And it was bugging me the fuck out. So I was like, I have to get this guy on my podcast. So this is amazing. But yeah, you were like, Joe Rizelow. I'm like, how the fuck? I haven't even, I haven't even said that name in like 20 years. So that was fucking nuts. So this is crazy. Thank you so much for coming on. Why are you literally not okay today, Josh? I feel like I'm going to start with you today because I'm feeling good.

2:36.2

No, it's tough. I feel like I don't know when I'm literally not okay. I think I always tell myself I'm not okay as like a challenge for myself to always do something else. I always feel happy with what I'm working on. I'm always positive. So the projects I do are fun. The work I do is great. The people I meet talk to and work with is great. So I can't really say nothing's not okay. I think it's more of like it could always be better in a good way. Like be happy where you're at. Don't discount the successes, but strive for more. So it's not okay that I'm out where I want to be. But it's okay where I'm at right now too. It's like double-edged sword. No, that's really good. I feel like this past year I've been really practicing gratitude and just like being thankful for

every day. And it really does something to your mind. Like it's crazy. I mean, as a mentalness.
