Hey True Crime Besties, welcome back to an all new episode of Serialist Lee. Oh, Hey everybody welcome back to this week's

highlights on serialously. It's me Annie, your true crime bestie here to keep you in the know of everything going on in the true crime world this week. We have got a lot of case

updates. We've also got some new cases. There's been a lot of

movement and some key cases that we have been following for several months, even years.

So we're going to discuss the latest news on everything going on in the

true crime world. As I mentioned this week there have been some disturbing new

cases as well as updates to ongoing cases including Alex Murdoch, eight passengers

Ruby Frankie and Jody Hildebrandt, and even Richard Allen in the Delphi case. We have got a lot to talk about today guys, so I'm going to jump

right in and start with Alex Murdoch. He is the disgraced South Carolina attorney who has been convicted of murdering his wife and son.

He has now agreed to plead guilty to 22 federal charges.

This includes wire fraud, bank fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy to

commit wire fraud and bank fraud. The charges carry a maximum punishment of

20 years in federal prison, with some carrying a maximum of 30 years.

Additionally, federal prosecutors have agreed to recommend in court that Murdoch serve any prison

sentence on the federal charges

concurrent to any state sentence that he receives for the same alleged crimes.

Overall, not surprising because he literally admitted all of this during his murder trial.

From what I understand this is completely separate from the Gloria Satterfield matter and

other state charges that are scheduled to go to trial in late November.

The jury tampering claims which Alex and his defense attorneys say warrant a new trial

regarding the murder are still being looked into.
