0:54.3	adelectasis which is just as fun to say as you think it is
0:59.2	so adelectasis is a condition that you will be learning a lot about and dealing with a lot,
1:06.0	especially as you're starting those medsurge clinicals and you're taking care of a lot of surgical patients.
1:11.7	So if you do a Google search for at electasis, you're going to find
1:16.1	out that it's a huge topic way bigger than what you might have first thought and
1:21.5	it can get really confusing really quickly. So if you want to just
1:25.5	break it down to this most simple component, Adlectasis essentially just
1:30.2	refers to a condition where the alveoli and even whole lobes of the lungs, so a whole bunch of alveoli
1:36.3	are collapsed. You'll likely be writing an adelectus' care plan or including it in a care plan at some point.
1:45.0	So it's really good to know how it affects your patients and how you the
1:51.6	awesome nursing student or nurse can prevent it.
1:55.4	So we're going to talk a little bit about the different types of adelectuses and then
1:59.7	we'll talk about how we apply this in the clinical setting.
