Hello, everyone, and welcome back to The Incomparable.

I'm your host, Anthony Johnston, and today we have reconvened our book club in a manner

of speaking.

A lot of the book club episodes here on The Incomparable, especially of

late, are about particular books, Hugo and Nebula award nominees, in particular, or the latest

book by a favourite author and so on, which everyone reads and talks about. And those are great,

and I love them as much as you do. I love listening to those, and I've found lots of books

and authors through those episodes whom I now

read regularly. But I thought it would be fun to do an episode and maybe more than one. Who

knows if this goes well, where instead of reading and talking about the same sort of assigned

books, we could talk about books that we've just read for our own pleasure rather than for a podcast.
