prime address about the tenuous state of American democracy.

Before we get into this speech, I just want to give a quick roundup of today's news,

which is understandably creating anxiety for some people because it's insane.

We already know that Ginny Thomas tried to convince Arizona lawmakers to overturn Joe Biden's

victory in November.

Today we learned that she made the same claims.

She made the same request rather in Wisconsin.

Yet she hasn't, as far as I know, been approached by the January 6th committee.

She hasn't been subpoenaed by anybody.

As far as I know, also hasn't suffered any other consequences.

Another has her horrible, unbelievably Supreme Court justice husband.

Abortion rights activists in Michigan got 730,000 signatures in order to get an abortion rights

amendment on the ballot in November.

730,000 signatures, which is about 300,000 more than they needed.

The Michigan Board of Canvasers has to approve such things.

It literally has four people on it.

Two Republicans, two Democrats, and of course the Republicans voted against the ballot initiative

and in case of a tie, it doesn't move forward.

So they blocked it along party lines, but this is why.

They claimed that spacing and formatting errors in the text circulated rendered the effort

in valid.
