Summary

On September 9, 1993, 17-year-old Christopher Simmons, and 15-year-old Charles Benjamin, kidnapped and murdered 46-year-old Shirley Ann Crook, by throwing her over a bridge. Roper v. Simmons would ultimately abolish the death penalty for minors.
