The topic for today, the title is Only the Scrappy Survive.

That's right, Scrappy is a word I've always loved.

It's one of those things that differentiates underdogs from

those with seemingly unfair advantages. And as the leader of a small company we've

always valued scrappy people, people who can figure things out and make something great

without having a big budget or a PhD.

I think being scrappy has been important throughout history, I'm sure Cody.

But I also think that we're in a time when being scrappy has become

almost a prerequisite for success because it's a key to survival. As important as

organizational health is and we do believe it's the most important

untapped competitive advantage, it's hard to be a healthy organization if you're not

a viable one. And many companies today, large and small and in between, are

struggling to stay viable.

Now I'm really glad to hear that confidence among smaller businesses is starting to go up again.

And I think that the scrappy companies are probably driving that confidence.
