Summary
Lincoln Hall was a mountaineer from a very young age, and had an intense passion for getting to summit Mount Everest. After a first failed attempt, Lincoln was given one last opportunity 22 years later at the age of 50. He knew he had to rely on mental strength to conquer Everest in this last attempt, however making it to the top is only half the battle. After getting to the summit, Lincoln experienced a severe form of altitude sickness while still very close to the top, which caused him to pass out in the snow and fall into a comatose state. Believing Lincoln was dead, his two guides had to make the difficult decision to leave him on the mountain, taking all of his belongings with them to give back to Lincoln's loved ones. After waking up a few hours later, the very confused Lincoln, needed to keep himself alive at the top of Mount Everest with no gear, food, water, or oxygen.
