my co-host Justin Pennick. And today we are looking at New York Giant's wide receiver Jalen

Hyde at a Tennessee. It was the 73rd pick in the third round. The Giant's traded up 16 spots

with their fourth round pick to go up and get Jalen Hyde. They would have been willing to take

them in the second round if John Michael Smiths was not there. 6 foot 176 pounds. Justin, this guy

is fast and he changes what the Giant's can do on offense. Yes, 100%. I think the main priority of

the Giant's this year, I think, from coaching staff to management, they understand that

they need to become more explosive this year. And man, does Jalen Hyde kind of provide that?

One of the things that I said about Jalen Hyde coming into this year and after we drafted him,

you know, the more that you talk about Tennessee's offense, not being real, well, well, if you call,

if you want to call Tennessee's offense, attract me, Jalen Hyde was the track star in that offense.

And man, I'm excited to see him even in year one, his role with the Giant's and being an

explosive play target. He had in 12 games last year, over 1200 yards, 15 touchdowns, 19 yards were

catch on a 75.2% catch rate. He won the wide receiver of the year award for college football last

year. Justin to me, he's a slender wide receiver, but he got, he did get most of his production by

simply just running past defenses. Like, it's wild to see and that speed translates to the NFL.

Now, it allows him to undercover deep, whether it's, you know, on verticals or posts or whatever,

it allows him, whether it's on a crosser, those speed type routes, it allows him to uncover,

but he does need to get used to not playing eight yards, 10 yards off guys coverage. Like, he

needs to get used to playing press man coverage. He needs to know how to, you know, get open in the

quick game through route running and sell. So there's, there is a lot that needs to be added to

this game, but I do see a very important role for him in year one, though, too. Yeah, for sure.
