Lots of wild flowers. It's kind of lush here at the moment, which will be gone soon as everything is in the desert. Everything is gone soon in the

desert. Those of you who have never read Edward Abbey's Desert Solitaire, I highly recommend it if you want to get a sense of why the desert is so deeply associated with spirituality and sort of esoteric traditions.

You know, the desert reduces everything to its essential elements. It's very, it's essential elements. It's very, it's very basic, you know, there's not a lot of

ornamentation in a desert. It's just what it is, the rock and the sand and the sky and

agh, you know, cactus, rah! Anyway, yeah, it's cool and it rains and you get a little

bit of that lushness. I can hear the stream running.

When I go it on the deck you can hear a sort of roar in the middle distance.

7-20 episodes. 75 Romas. I should go back and see what the first Roma was when I first decided to start calling them romas. I remember the reason it started was that I was feeling self-conscious about talking too much in the conversations with guests, you know, like we'd be talking about something

and somebody would mention you know whatever India and I'd be like oh when I

was in India I blah blah and when I was editing it you know you have these

two tracks so you can see where each person is doing the talking and I started getting

self-conscious because I saw like my track had too much

fucking talking in it. And I remember saying something to you, the audience, if you
