The president of Boa Esporta, a football club in Brazil's second division, has defended his decision to offer a contract to a goalkeeper who has just gone out of prison.

Bruno de Sousa was jailed for ordering the murder of a former lover after she gave birth to his child. Her body was cut up and fed to dogs.

And of course, you know, we had spoken about the Riva Steenkamp case in Real Crime Profile and Oscar Bistorius and Nicole Amron, Nicole Simpson and O.J. Simpson.

And recently when I was in London, I was outraged enough seeing and reading, I think as many of us did over the last couple of days, what's happened with a particular case in Brazil.

And that particular case, the victim is somebody called or was called Alisa Samudio.

And in fact, you probably wouldn't see her name in many of the reports because it was much more about the goalkeeper ex-husband that she had who ended up.

And I say ended up, he killed her in cold blood and actually did confess to it and it was meticulously calculated.
