1:05.0 | We have assembled what I would describe as an all-star panel and what we're going to be doing is engaging in a discussion about sort of reflecting on the year 2015 and what it meant. |
1:21.0 | And what we're going to be doing is kind of doing it in two parts. We're going to do one panel today and one panel tomorrow and sort of get eight or ten different perspectives on 2015, what happened, what it means, what it doesn't mean, and maybe we'll do a little bit of predicting or pontificating about the future. |
1:45.0 | So with that, I am just so excited for the panel that we've pulled together. No one here is new to Mormon Stories. Everyone here has been an important contributor historically. |
2:02.0 | And so I'm ready just to jump right in. |
2:06.0 | We have four panelists joining me today. The first, we'll do ladies first. The first person we have returning today is Jamie Hannes-Handy from Dallas. Jamie, why don't you introduce yourself just a bit if you don't mind? |
2:22.0 | Sure. I'm Jamie. I currently am a mom. I have five kids and halfly married and at BYU, I got a master's degree in biological science education and human genetics and currently have a photography business and talk about Mormon stuff. |
2:39.0 | And you tell us the episodes of Mormon Stories you've been involved with so far, just some people can remember. |
2:45.0 | So you see your stone, DNA and genetics, F.A. |
2:50.0 | Yep, those essays, yep. The Heavenly Mother and Joseph, the Temple and the priesthood and women one. |
2:59.0 | Yeah, so you've sort of been helping us review many of the Churches essays. Yes, oh, and the conference report. |
3:06.0 | Yes, that was so good. Yeah, Jamie, people love having you on and I'm just really glad you could join us. So thank you for joining us even with the sick kid today. |
3:14.0 | Yes. All right. We also are very excited to have back Marisa Calderwood. |
3:22.0 | Many of you will remember Marisa from our interview about her and her husband Carson's communication this year. Marisa, why don't you introduce yourself just a bit? |
3:32.0 | Sure, thanks. I was born and raised in the church and I graduated in molecular biology from BYU. That's kind of a cell biology genetics major. |
3:41.0 | And I'm married to Carson Calderwood and we live in Seattle with our four kids. Right now I am a stay home mom and I lost my faith in the LDS church in the summer of 2014 and was excommunicated from the church in May of 2015. |
