Today on the show, comedian Samson McCormick talks about his favorite teacher from second grade.

And then I got to second grade, and we had my teacher, Ms. Diane Walters.

I saw this really small, you know, saw-spoken, older white lady and I thought I'm going to run this class.

I started putting me in check right away. We would go at it and she had no problem. I was

used to walking out of the class. So when she would tell me to get out, like she kind of took

that power away from me. And so she would be like, get out. And I would be like, you don't tell me to get out, like, she kind of took that power away from me.

And so she would be like, get out.

And I would be like, you don't tell me to get out. I'll leave when I want. I'm staying. And I think it was maybe a little reverse psychology or something. I don't know, but I would want to stay in class. Then I was like, you don't put me out. I'm staying in class.
