Hello, everyone. This is David Sparks. I am joined by my pal in yours,

Mr. Steven Hackett. Hi, Steven. How are you today?

I'm good, David. This is the day we've been waiting for for a long time.

I am buzzing. I mean, you know, truth be told, we're recording this the day after the event.

I am still buzzing. This event has me so jacked up.

Yeah, it's it's super exciting. If for an event that was only really 50 minutes, I mean,

it wasn't even an hour, like so many ramifications. We're going to talk through the announcements

and what they mean and what we think. Obviously, this episode's out a little bit early,

so we made a note of that last time a little off the normal schedule because apples got all

the stuff going on. But you know, the MacBook Pro is a it's like the core of so many people's setups.

You know, a lot of power users, a lot of aspiring power users, the MacBook Pro is like the default

Mac for so many of us. And so anytime it gets a lot of attention, it's well worth talking about.

Yeah, but this is so much more than that. I mean, they announced new hardware every year and that's

cool. And I love Apple hardware. Of course, we make the show. But it's not that often that you get

this like leapfrog jump event for the technology. And you know, this did start last year with the M1.

But even back then, we were saying, okay, this one is tuned for efficiency. What happens when they

turn Apple Silicon into a power chip as opposed to an efficient chip? And I mean, the only thing I

could think that it reminds me of in terms of Apple announcements is back when they announced the

Intel switch and we all flipped out and went into order new Maxi immediately. And I feel like this

is that it also kind of reminds me of like the spinning drive to SSD transition where everything just

gets better really fast. And you don't get that very often. And we've been waiting a year to hear
