This is an edition of our book club where we begin the process of reading all the books on the short list for the Hugo and Nebula awards, the nominees for Best

Novel.

So it's a really good way to find books to read and books for us to discuss and recommend to

you thanks to the work of the people who make those nominations, which is not necessarily

us, although sometimes it can be if you want to be.

I didn't nominate for the Hugo's this year.

I let that one go by.

Boo.

Yeah, I'll let it go by this time.

I just didn't feel like I was prepared.

Anyway, this episode, we will have, I think, more participants in future episodes.

I never have a problem finding books. My problem is I have too many books I want to read.

I know. And then I have to assign reading for podcasts and things, which is good, but a problem.

That's true. I do have a big

stack of books, virtual stack of books on my e-reader, but I always am also sort of like

looking for good book recommendations because I love it when somebody says, I read this book and I
