Hello, good everybody. This is the Mike Francesa podcast on this Christmas Eve.

So let me first wish everybody a very, very, very, Merry Christmas on this very special evening,

a rarity to be doing some football.

But, hey, it's a rare week because you got football being played now.

Football three games tomorrow that will really overwhelm the day that usually

belongs to the NBA and obviously more football and then the bowls next week.

So a lot going on as we head towards New Year's.

But first, let me on this Christmas Eve, wish you all very, very happy and healthy New Year, a very, very Merry Christmas.

And I was thinking about this today when I heard the news about what went on at the Mall of America

while the Giants were in some in the mall, some people who were peripheral workers with the Giants in the mall, the mall adjacent to the hotel

where the Giants was staying. It just speaks volume. You know, the NFL is one of our great

diversions. Sports is our toy department. It's where we go for entertainment, where we go for emotional release,

where you can act a little crazy and it doesn't cost you anything. And it makes you forget

your cares and woes and all the realities of everyday life. But more and more, you just shake your head at the news and in this country
