Summary
Today on the show Jayson is talking with David Nurse, NBA life and optimization coach, and author of Pivot & Go: The 29-Day Blueprint to Redefine and Achieve Your Success. David grew up knowing he would be in the NBA someday, he was talented enough and had the height to match, but after getting cut from a team overseas his hopes started to fade.
He knew he couldn’t give up his dreams that easily, and learned from his mistakes and his failures, becoming a shooting coach for any program that would take him around the country, no matter how small. He eventually found his place as the shooting coach for the Brooklyn Nets. After getting let go from that job, he started coaching players how to use their self confidence and talents most effectively.
David believes that to succeed in life you need to have the 1% mentality, get 1% better every single day. Gaining momentum is an incredibly powerful tool that allows you to achieve your goals! David sets macro goals and works backwards to discover the process to get there and focuses on every step of the process.
