Welcome to another episode of the secular Buddhism podcast.

This is episode number 61.

I am your host, Noah Rasheda, and today I'm sharing the audio of an interview I did this

morning with Yael Shai.

Yael offers expert guidance on beginning and meditation practice and explores how to

bring that practice to relationships, social media, social justice, and the ups and downs

of everyday life.

This interview was recorded live and it was streamed live through to the Facebook channel

and to the YouTube channel for the secular Buddhism podcast.

And I wanted to extract the audio and upload it to make it this new podcast episode.

While I was checking this, I noticed the looks like the last two or three episodes have

been interviews and I wanted to remind you that this isn't the format that's taking over

as the main format for the podcast.

It just so happens that I've had three interviews and in between those three interviews I have

not had a chance to record a podcast episode under the original format which is just me preparing

a topic.

But I do plan to continue doing that.

Recently I've been hunkered down, I'm working on a new book called Essential Buddhism for

Beginners.

And this is a project that I was commissioned to write from a publisher and it's been really

exciting because I think this book is formatted in question and answer format.
