What Most People Think

Hello and welcome to episode 61 of what most people think. How are you doing?

It's beginning to look a lot like another fucking lockdown. Anyway, we'll get

to us all that nonsense shortly. This is another one of those weeks where I had to squeeze

this podcast out. This is where the patron comes in so handy because I was supposed to be

off work this week and then I took a little writing job Monday, then another one Tuesday,

another one Wednesday, you know what the miss is like? You're supposed to be off this week.

I was like, babe, babe, we're going to have Thursday and Friday, absolutely family time guaranteed.

Good thing is. And she said, well, can you not miss the podcast one week? I'm like, babe, I've got clients.

Do you know what I mean? I've got clients, babe. They can't be left just with mainstream topical comedy. I'm not going to do that to the patrons and the listeners to what most people think. Anyway, I don't know how your week's been, man. I've been a bit quiet on social media the last couple of weeks. One, because this thing happens every once in a while that I just find Twitter a bit ridiculous. I don't know what it is. It's like if you actually pierce the kind of artifice of the whole thing, it's a lot of grown-ups telling each other off

and just wanting to be proved right in the fullness of time. But also, it's the most sanctimonious

week I've ever heard on Twitter. The most self-righteous. I think this is beyond virtue signaling.

I think self-righteousness made a return, particularly over the free school meals thing, which just, I mean, like, the one thing I did find odd was like people saying, right, right, I'm going to, I'm going to go out and I'm going to fund free school meals myself, I'm going to deliver them myself. And I thought, That's fantastic. Brilliant. Well, you know, well done you. That's not just virtue signaling.

You're actually going to do something about it. And then people go, yeah, and just give a big two

fingers to Boris. I was like, I'm not sure you fully researched conservatism, actually,

because I think that that is exactly the end goal of the conservative dream is that

the state back out of doing something and people sort of chipping themselves.

Listen, I always welcome the patrons.

We got some 10 pound patrons and a couple of people that haven't had their shout out from

before.
