Summary

Archbishop Valerian Trifa was the head of the Romanian Orthodox Church of America and Canada. But this pious man was hiding a dark secret about his past in Europe. When members of his congregation informed US authorities that he was in fact the leader of the fascist group, The Iron Guard, he denied it. But with evidence proving the contrary, he had no other choice but to relinquish his US Citizenship and return to Europe. Did His Eminence Valerian have blood on his hands, or was it all a set-up by communist agencies in Romania in an attempt to discredit him?
