Galatians chapter 2, verse 20.

I don't know many verses that better describe what it means to be a Christian, what it means to be a follower of Christ.

Paul writes, I have been crucified with Christ.

It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now

live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

What a great verse. This describes, so for every person who's a follower of

Christ, just think about what this verse is saying about us. We've been crucified with Christ.

This language, very intentional. We think about Jesus's words to would-be disciples all throughout

the Gospels. If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself, take up his cross and follow me.

So the cross is not just a place of death for Christ.

The cross is a place of death for us.

As followers of Christ, we have died to ourselves.

We have crucified ourselves.

We have been crucified with Christ to the point where

it's no longer we who live, but Christ who lives in us. This great exchange, my life has been

exchanged for the life of Christ. Christ himself now lives in me. It's not me anymore. It's Christ who lives in me. It's not you

anymore, but Christ who lives in you. So yes, we live in the flesh every day, but how do we live?

We live by faith in the Son of God. What a picture. So we're not just saved at that initial point

of salvation by faith. We actually live by faith. Every single day,

our life is trusting in Christ. We live by faith in the Son of God. We wake up in the morning and we say,

just like we said, at the very point of our salvation, we said, I cannot do this on my own. I need
