This is Mike O'Marycheau News. Major Storm swimming across the East Coast caused incredible amounts of damage on Friday night.

The East Coast in many areas suffering from power outages.

Millions of people lost power. People are still dealing with the after effects of

the severe storms that were by and large not predicted. Let's take a look at

the advent of the storms and how this situation

happened we go to the meteorology center with Buzz Purbank. Take it away

Buzz. Thank you Mike yes because of the extreme heat enveloping much of

the country pop-up storms appeared over Ohio on Friday night

and immediately rushed toward the east building in strength

until the Washington, D.C. area and much of the mid-Atlantic

was deluged with high winds of up to 80 miles an hour,

hurricane force conditions, heavy rains, lots of lightning, lots of trees down,

and now millions of people without power.
