Summary

Jim and A.Ron survey the horrors of war that is episode 609 of HBO’s Game of Thrones, “Battle of the Bastards”, and proclaim it brutal, ultimately satisfying, if a tad predictable. There were no real surprises to be found tonight if you’ve been paying attention the past few weeks, but it’s still nice to see the end of some truly nasty regimes tonight, even if the casualties were high in both the statistical and personal sense. At this stage each loss of life is going to hurt in the war to come, that still awaits north of the wall. And we still don’t know the true cost of the hasty alliances made with the Greyjoys and Littlefinger’s Arryn forces. And will Sansa’s talk of “no one” be prophetic? 1:13.4	heart in it. You can see a lot of gladiator in it. You can see even a lot of
1:18.5	300 in it in the staging and whatnot. And you know there's a lot of people
1:22.5	pointing out and the nights have been rolled in. A lot of Lord of the Rings to
1:27.1	two towers. Okay. But what do you want to say? It felt like an epic you know
1:35.5	justice porn the entire episode. Yeah. Yeah totally. And I see now why they
1:41.9	had you know Danny kind of walking on that balcony last episode so they could
1:45.9	save it all for this one. And I forgive that I forgive that instantly. Yeah sure.
