So we talked about this the other day on my Sirius XM show, that there's so much

tariff revenue coming in.

The president has thrown out this idea.

Here's how I actually think it went down.

I think Josh Hawley fed a question to a reporter. A reporter asked the president, and the president in his non-committal way, said, oh, you were thinking about it, maybe we'll see, right? So he got kind of thrown out there. And then right away, Josh Hawley said, I got a bill that will give a $600 refund to everyone because of the tariffs.

I have no proof at all that that's the order of operations, how this went down, but the timeline

suggests some.

Either way, this idea has been thrown out there to take this tariff revenue, and instead of

paying down the debt, we give a $600 rebate to every American, and then we work out

the details of it.

Who gets it?

Whatever.

But we brought this up.

So when I first heard this, almost all the comments online from conservatives were this is a terrible idea, hard pass, hard no.

I was like, oh, that's really interesting.

So we brought it up on Sirius XM.

And it was, we did a 10 listener poll.

It was three yes for the rebates and seven no.

And there were such wonderful principled arguments and I was able to think about it a little bit more.

And this is my working conclusion at the moment.
