Summary

Keith Calder is known in some circles for his work as an independent film producer. In other, much bigger circles, Keith’s known for having the same last name as Eleanor Calder. She’s a model who dates One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson. Hundreds of thousands of 1D fans maintain that Eleanor is a fake girlfriend, and that Louis is actually secretly dating his bandmate Harry. In today’s episode, we talk to Keith about what life’s like when you’re on the wrong end of a widely-held conspiracy theory, and we talk to some of the fans who believe it. Also - we give an update about the amazing hold music in last week's show (episode #33 @ISIS) Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Hey, this is PJ and this is Alex. It is Wednesday morning. We just finished two nights

0:18.8

of cast party, which was a live performance. This huge event we did with a bunch of other

0:22.8

great shows. We did a new story. One of us sounds very sleepy.

0:28.1

I am pretty sleepy. It was a lot of fun, though. I want to thank everybody who came out to

0:33.3

theaters, who came out to the show in New York. You guys are amazing. It just felt like we

0:39.3

were all hanging out. It was really nice. It really was. We are here to tell you two things.

0:46.0

The first is a sad thing. Yeah, it's going to make you sad, but listen, stay until the

0:49.9

second thing. Don't just get sad and turn off your listening device. The first thing

is that this week's show is a rerun. Are you sad? You sound sad.

0:59.7

It sounds really sad. But I promised on Twitter that we would have an update to last week's

1:05.2

episode. Last week's episode, PJ wanted to cancel his subscription with Handy, which is

1:09.8

cleaning service. He was having a very hard time. I helped him out. In the process, we stumbled

1:15.2

upon the most amazing hold music we've ever heard. Here is a bit of us fawning over it from

1:21.1

last week's show. Oh, this is good. Right? So I was on hold for two and a half minutes.

1:35.5

The whole time, totally happy to listen to this song. They could have kept me on hold for

1:42.4

a half an hour. It is really good. It's great. Hold music. It's like the theme to the end

1:49.0

of a long struggle. Do you know what I mean? It's like everything's okay music.

1:55.7

The day after the episode aired, we got an email from a listener named Tim Sheridan that

1:59.3

said, hi, that's great hold music, isn't it? It's one of the default bits of hold music

2:04.0

included with asterisk, which is an open source phone software. And the song he told us

2:10.5

is called Simplicity, and it's by someone called Macroform. So we found Macroform, and

2:17.2

this morning I gave him a call. Hey, Alex, I'm doing really well. How are you?
