I woke up this morning with a thought, and that thought

steamrolled into today's show.

And that is, this is all about the creative mindset.

When I think about all the different projects I've had, the, you know,

amazing collaborations. I think about what, what became and what did not become. It has become

evident to me that a creative mindset isn't just about managing downside risk. That is the lens through which a lot of people

look at creativity. Like, I don't want to fail. I don't want to break. I don't want to,

but I prefer to think about a creative mindset. I think it's critical to go on the offensive, to be proactive, to double

down, to have the risk mitigation be either secondary, tertiate, or even not a part of the creative

process. I think that that's where we do our best work. So the question becomes,

how can you keep your mind open? How can you keep happy and stay positive around this thing?

Because let's face it, the quality of your life is literally determined by what you think

and how you feel. You are in charge of those things.

Science tells us that positive thoughts are healthy,

that they make us feel better

and are tightly correlated with flow states,

with creativity, with improved performance generally,

more broadly speaking.

So we simply cannot ignore the role that mindset plays in creating

everything we want for ourselves, whether, you know, an amazing illustration, a sonata,

a thriving business, or in the biggest sense of the creative process, our life, the life we

envision for ourselves.
