President Joe Biden held his first public events since dropping out of the

2024 race for the White House. He announced $150 million in new funding for cancer research during a trip to New Orleans for a cancer moonshot event.

The program aims to provide cutting edge research to cut the number of cancer deaths in half in the coming decades.

cease-fire talks.

Today, the New York Times reported that in a letter to mediators on July 27th Israel made five new demands to a ceasefire and

hostage release deal it proposed in May.

The PM's office called the claim false and accused Hamas of proposing changes. As both sides of the conflict are expected to go back to the negotiating table this Thursday,

Israel's assault in Gaza continues.
