Welcome to episode six of Comic Geekspeak. Hello. I have a few things that I want to talk about. First thing, my wife and I just watched The Incredibles for the first time. We got the DVD.

0:46.6

Oh, nice. Check out. That movie is fantastic. Yeah. I saw that when it came out in the theater. Kevin and Kevin and I, it was him and, you know, Kevin Lynn and whatever we all went. It was, I mean, it was so much fun watching. It was great use of powers. Like you could tell the guy who wrote it or whatever. It was definitely a, it must have been a comic book. The same guy who did Iron Giant. Yeah, yeah. Must have been a comic book fan because the use of powers was just fantastic. Especially one of the best parts was when the little kid is running.

1:14.1

He's like running on the water and he hits that water.

1:16.4

How many times have we seen that?

1:18.1

We've seen it in Flash.

1:19.5

We've seen it in Smallville.

1:22.0

We've seen, you know, like that's not a new thing, but when I saw that, the whole theater erupted.

1:29.9

Because it was told in such a way that we were seeing it from his point of view so much. And it just, it was amazing. Yeah, the kid was

1:34.5

so excited when he was figuring out what he could do with his powers. It was great. And talk about

1:39.3

like some of the other superhero-y kind of things that they did, when they finally all come together in the

1:46.7

jungle and the, what is it, like the people, the guards are coming after him, and all of a sudden

1:52.5

they all hit that pose, that superhero pose, it's like, come on, you can't get any better

1:57.9

than that. That was such a neat moment. I really, I mean, they set it up at the end, obviously, for a sequel, and I really hope. Right, right. But there's that whole deal where Pixar is now not associated with Disney, and Disney probably owns half the rights to the Incredibles, and so I don't know what's going to happen. That's a shame, because that series. Let's hope that it doesn't get ruined, because it was fantastic.

2:19.4

Yeah, I mean, they really... And they shouldn't make an animation, they should really keep it computer if they do like a... Well, they, they close down most of their animation studios, do they? Yeah, I don't even know if they have any. I know that they close down some of them, but... And Jason Lee? yeah exactly i know the whole movie i'm going that sounds like jason lee but then it doesn't but then it does then it doesn't

2:37.8

and i have it doesn't.

2:36.7

But then it does, then it doesn't. And I had to watch the credits and make sure that it was. Yeah. It's funny, last week we were talking about the Fantastic Four, last podcast. We were talking about the Fantastic Four. Oh, my God. There is. Jason Lee. And he, and there are, you know, their powers are kind of similar to like that,

2:53.4

and the whole thing about them being a family and things like that.

2:56.3

You know, you have Elastic Girl being obviously Mr. Fantastic.
