A second grade student called 911 at 1057 a.m. to report a shooting at school.

The shooter who killed a student and a teacher at a school in Wisconsin yesterday has now been identified

as a 15-year-old girl. Police say Natalie Rupp now, who went by the name Samantha, died of

a self-inflicted gunshot after opening fire at the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison.

Six other people were injured, including two who were facing life-threatening conditions.

This was the 83rd school shooting recorded this year, meaning 2024 has seen the most

school shootings in a single year since CNN began tracking them in 2008.

This shaken parent says she feels nowhere is safe for her children.
