Five people are believed to be dead and two children injured after a gunman opened fire along several blocks in

Philadelphia yesterday evening. That's according to local police who say

they've arrested the 40-year-old suspected shooter. Here's Philadelphia's police

commissioner.

This male was wearing a bulletproof vest with multiple magazines in the vest.

He also had a scanner and an AR-style rifle and a handgun underneath his body.

A second person who picked up a gun and returned fire is also now in police custody.

It's not clear what led to the shooting and police say at this point they don't see a connection between the gunman and any of the victims

Police say the two children age two and 13 are in stable condition.

At least 10 people have been killed and about 100 injured

as the Israeli raid in the occupied West Bank city of Janine

continues into its second day. A military source says this is

Israel's largest military operation in the area in more than 20 years as

Israeli officials say they're attacking what they call terrorist infrastructure.

But as CNN's Hadass Gold tells us from Jerusalem, civilians have been forced to flee.

The Palestinian Red Crescent is saying that at least 500 families are now evacuating, fleeing the refugee camp, obviously

in fear of what the ensuing hours will bring because while the Israeli military are saying

that civilians of course are not their target, they do say that this operation could continue for another day or two.

The Israeli military says it's sent in hundreds of soldiers and carried out around 10 airstrikes.

Janine's deputy mayor says homes and infrastructure have been destroyed,

cutting off electricity and water in the refugee camp.
