A police report has revealed new details about a sexual assault allegation made against

President-elect Donald Trump's Secretary of Defense pick. A California woman told police that in 2017, Peter Hegeseth physically blocked her

from leaving a hotel room, took her phone, and then sexually assaulted her. Hegseh told police

the encounter was consensual, and he was never charged with a crime in connection with the allegation.

His attorney has acknowledged that

Hegseth later reached a settlement with the woman, which included a payout and a confidentiality

clause. Meanwhile, questions continue to circle Matt Gates, Trump's pick for Attorney General.

Republicans on the House Ethics Committee voted against releasing a report on its investigation

into Gates yesterday. But the panel is expected to meet and vote again, once that report

is finished on December 5. And House Democrats could try to call a floor vote to try to force

the panel to release the report. Something Republican Representative Derek Van Orden said he'd support.

I think it's very important that everybody has as much knowledge as possible so that they can

make an informed decision.

Ukraine's military is accusing Russia of launching an intercontinental ballistic missile

on the city of Denepro.

Ukraine's Air Force did not say what kind of ICBM was deployed in the early morning attack,

and Russia has not commented.

So far, CNN has been unable to verify the claim.

Well, Joe, if true, this is not only Russia's first use of an ICBM on Ukraine, but the first use of one in any war, we understand.

Now, there is no evidence that this missile was carrying a nuclear warhead, and the Kremlin, when asked, directed all questions to the Russian Defense Ministry.
