US pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is ramping up, pushing him to reach a ceasefire and hostage release deal with Hamas.

He met with President Joe Biden yesterday, and the negotiations were high on the agenda,

and the pair also held talks with families of

American hostages in Gaza. A senior Biden administration official says they're

closer than they've ever been to an agreement but that now it's up to the Israelis to accept it.

Netagnanhu also met with the likely Democratic presidential nominee, Vice President

Carmelah Harris.

She says she expressed her serious concern to Netanyahu over the suffering in Gaza and

also pushed him to accept a deal. The images of dead children and desperate

hungry people fleeing for safety sometimes

displaced for the second, third or fourth time. We cannot look away in the face of these tragedies. We cannot allow ourselves to become

numb to the suffering and I will not be silent. Today Netagnan Netanyahu will meet with former President Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, Harris has received an important call.

I can't have this phone call without saying to my girl Kamala I am proud of you.

This is going to be historic.

We call to say Michelle and I couldn't be proud to endorse you and to do everything we can to get you

through this election and into the Oval Office.

In a video released this morning, Harris is seen taking the call from Barack and Michelle

Obama. The former president didn't

immediately endorse Harris following Biden's announcement that he was dropping out

of the race and instead called for an open process to pick the Democratic nominee.
