Israel is marking one year since the October 7th Hamas attack, as its strikes on Gaza continue.

1,200 people were killed in Israel that day.

This family member of one of those killed at a kibbutz spoke to CNN.

I feel like yesterday, we still haven't except that she's gone and we didn't anticipate that it's going

and we didn't anticipate that it's going to be in one year.

We thought it's going to be one week.

We're going to bring out the hostages there.

250 hostages were also taken during the attack. Families of some of those hostages

sounded a siren for two minutes outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's

residents in Jerusalem, whom some families accuse of prioritizing his political survival

over the safety of the hostages.

Israel's ensuing war in Gaza has killed more than 41,000 people there,

including children,

and triggered a humanitarian crisis.

Today, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society says an Israeli strike on a refugee camp in Central

Gaza has killed three people and wounded several more.
