The US and Israel are on high alert for a possible attack from Iran.

The country's government has vowed revenge on Israel,

after a deadly strike on its embassy compound in Syria last week.

Now, U.S. officials are concerned that any retaliation could lead to a dangerous

escalation of tensions in the Middle East. Israel's defense minister has

warned an attack on Israeli territory will not be tolerated.
