This is a strange week, you know, it's almost like a, this is a double Friday week in some ways because

I don't know about where you work or what your situation is but we have

tomorrow off it's Juneteenth and so it's a it it's something I only recently like

during the pandemic, is when I really found out about

this, but I was looking this morning because Juneteenth is tomorrow and we won't be here for it.

I was looking at a little piece on the Smithsonian

website and they're talking about the historical legacy of Juneteenth which is

something that's been celebrated for a long time by the black community and not so

much by like I didn't I didn't know much about this at all. Me neither.

Yeah, so they're actually saying here that it's, they call it the second Independence Day of the

year.

They say it's long been celebrated in the African American community,

however largely unknown to many Americans and it's about several years a couple of years plus going by before slaves in Texas knew that
