0:00.0	Welcome to the prayers of rest podcast. I'm your host, Ashrida Chuchu, and today I invite you to join me in praying for unbelievers, especially those with whom we might experience conflict because of a difference in values. We still want to
0:25.1	show them the love of God and be a good testimony to them. But how do we pray for them? That's what
0:32.4	we're covering in our prayer of rest today. As we begin, take a deep breath as we become aware of God's loving presence around us and within us.
0:43.3	Today's passage comes from Romans chapter 12, verse 16 to 18.
0:49.3	Live in harmony with one another.
0:51.3	Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.
0:58.0	Do not be conceded. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of
1:06.1	everyone. And if it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
1:14.0	Let's start by reciting God's goodness, praising Him for who he is and for what he has done.
1:20.9	Lord God, thank you that you are the one who reaches out and seeks and saves the lost.
1:30.5	Thank you that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
1:34.9	And when we were running away from you, it's your loving kindness that chased after us.
1:41.7	Thank you, God, that you have called us to be your ambassadors, to be agents of reconciliation
1:48.8	in this world. And thank you for the relationships that you place us in with people who don't
1:55.7	yet know you. Thank you for the opportunities that we have to be light in the darkness, to show them the love of Jesus.
2:06.6	God, you are so good to be patient and kind with us and to call us then to live that out toward others.
2:18.4	So take a moment now to bring to mind the face of someone who doesn't yet know Jesus
2:24.9	that He has placed in your life.
2:30.0	What is it that God is showing you about himself as he's calling you to love this person? How can you praise him for the work that he is already doing in their life? I'm Let's continue now by expressing our neediness.
3:07.7	So God, we confess that it's hard sometimes to live at peace with everyone.
