0:18.3	It was an insane weekend of political happenings and news and events.
0:22.6	And I want to start with two examples of anti-woke backfires.
0:27.5	Now later in the program, we'll get back into the perversion of the term woke.

0:33.6	But we're first going to talk about one of these anti-woke book bands completely and totally backfiring.
0:40.7	I told you weeks ago that in Utah, there was already an attempt made to ban the Bible from public school libraries,
0:49.7	specifically because of the rule that right wingers put in place about violent and sexual content in books.
1:00.1	And indeed that has now succeeded in some schools and PR reports.
1:04.9	A Utah school district has removed the Bible from the school from some schools shelves frustrated with book challenges and bands in their school district.
1:15.7	A parent and Utah submitted a complaint of their own about the Bible.
1:19.9	Now, good for the Davis school district, they took the objection, objection seriously, they placed the Bible under review
1:28.9	and the district officially decided to remove the religious text from elementary and middle school libraries for containing vulgarity or violence.
1:38.7	The ban takes effect immediately with the Bible being removed from classrooms even as they close down for the summer.
1:47.5	Additionally, the book of Mormon is now under review as a result of the exact same thing.
1:54.1	So let's talk about what's going on here.
1:56.5	The Utah book ban by right wingers is a case of censorship backfiring.
2:02.7	The ban was hoping to block the normal, the usual suspects, right?
2:08.5	Books on LGBTQ plus topics or buy certain authors of a particular identity, racial issues, et cetera.
2:18.9	But what it has led to because of how it is written, violent content, sexual content, the Bible is filled with violent and sexual content.
