Welcome to the Prayer Suppressed podcast. I'm your host, Asherita Chuchu, and we are continuing our series of praying for tricky relationships.

And today I invite you to pray with me for our neighbors. And that includes all of us. We all have neighbors somewhere, whether they're in a

cul-de-sac or in an apartment block or roommates, if you're living with someone else. And those people

can be a blessing to us, and sometimes it can be a little tricky too, which is why we are praying for our neighbors today.

As we begin, take a deep breath as we become aware of God's loving presence around us and within us.

Today's passage comes from Matthew chapter 5, verse 14.

You are the light of the world.

A city built on a hill cannot be hidden.

Let's begin by reciting God's goodness,

praising Him for who He is and for what He has done in our lives.

Lord God, you are the light of the world.

All good things come from you.

You've placed your light in our hearts, and it is because of you that we have hope for each day.

God, thank you that you give us homes to dwell in.

Shelters over our head and a safe place

to call our own.

And also, Jesus, you are so good to let go of the glory of heaven and come and make your

tent among us, tabernacle among us, become a neighbor to the people who are living during

your time. You are the one who shows us what it means to love our neighbors through your own life,

and thank you that you have loved us so well. So take a moment to think about your very real neighbors,

the ones who live right next door to you. In what ways have you seen God's goodness? His character,

his heart, revealed to you through interactions with these people.
