| 0:00.0 | The new country, 963, second, second, second, second date update. We got Billy on the line with us. Billy went out with Heather, had a great first date, but as often is the case, it never progressed to date number two, and he asked us to help out this morning. So first of all, Billy, tell everybody how you met Heather. We met online. Okay, and that led to a date? Yeah, yeah. We texted back and forth for a little bit. |
| 0:22.6 | Eventually, we decided to meet up and see how it goes. |
| 0:26.6 | And Heather, it was weird. |
| 0:29.6 | She bought tickets to see the sky talk about, like, mountain climbing or something. |
| 0:36.6 | It was at a bar, so it wasn't too bad. You know, we had a couple drinks, but I felt like I really took one for the team. It was pretty boring. I'd like to go out again. Wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait. This is a different kind of. Okay. What's going on? You didn't enjoy yourself on the date? I mean, I feel like we didn't really like, we didn't have us, I don't know. |
| 0:57.7 | It was not really, but it wasn't her fault, really. It was more like the thing we were doing was kind of boring. But this is something that she wanted to do? You said she had tickets for this? Yeah, it was like at a bar and it was like this guy talking about like outdoor stuff and like |
| 1:12.8 | mountains and like a mountain man or something. So I don't know. You got a lot from you got a lot from |
| 1:18.9 | this guy apparently. Yeah. I don't know. I don't really I struggle to pay attention but I mean I |
| 1:26.5 | found it really boring. But she seems cool but I don't know. I struggle to pay attention, but I mean, I found it really boring. But she seems cool, but I don't know. I tried to be polite about it. I don't know. But you are interested in a second day with her. Well, yeah. I mean, she's really cute, and I thought we got along, you know, outside of the event. I just thought it wasn't a great, you know, first date. Okay. So you're thinking maybe if we did something else, this whole relationship would progress? I think so. I like to think so. Okay. Well, let's have us give her a call, so you can figure out maybe if we can make something happen here and get you a second date, okay? Oh, that'd be great. Now we've gone. Hey there. I'm Paula Pan. How do I save money? Most people give you the cliche answer. Stop buying avocado toast. But they're missing the point. Saving tactics usually focus on discretionary spending. If you want to actually move the needle, you have to look at your fixed costs. Your rent, your mortgage, your car payment. To change these, you might have to move or sell your car. And that's why people don't do it. If you want small wins, focus on the avocado toast. |
| 2:21.2 | But if you want... car payment to change these, you might have to move or sell your car. And that's why people don't do it. |
| 2:18.0 | If you want small wins, focus on the avocado toast. But if you want meaningful change, focus on the |
| 2:23.9 | fixed costs. Afford anything. Follow and listen on your favorite platform. A hold of Heather. |
| 2:29.9 | She's agreed to come on the air with this. So Heather, do you remember going out with Billy? |
| 2:53.2 | I do. He called us and said you guys went out. Said something about the date was a different kind of date, but he said he would like to see you again and ask us to give you a call on his behalf. Okay. Is there a reason you didn't get back to him? Yeah, I mean, did he tell you, like, what the date was or the situation? |
| 2:59.8 | He said it was something about, I don't know, you went to go to a bar where there was a guy talking about a mountain man or something? |
| 3:02.9 | Cool. |
| 3:42.4 | I got to get to this tap house talk, and it's, like, at this local group hub, and they have professors from UT and UNT come and speak on topics. Okay. So I wanted to go, and I asked Billy wanted to attend. And, like, you know, it was a total waste of money. He was on his phone the whole time playing like a candy crush game or whatever, wasn't paying attention and even asked to leave early. Are you the one that bought the tickets to this? You said you asked him to go. I did. Yeah. I asked him to go was my idea. And like, I know it's not everybody's thing. That's why I asked. But since he was like, yeah, sure, that sounds great. I was really excited. I thought, you know, we had similar interests. And yeah, to learn that wasn't the case was just really disappointing. And again, I'll waste a money. Okay. He returned off by the whole thing. |
| 3:48.0 | Oh, yeah. And that's why he didn't return any calls afterwards? No, he just wasn't the guy he seemed |
| 3:53.3 | like over, like, you know, text or whatever. Well, here's the the deal he did tell us that he went to this |
| 3:58.3 | event with you and he did say he wasn't really interested in what was going on but he did say |
| 4:03.5 | he wanted to go out with you again now he is on the other line can we bring him in on this conversation |
| 4:08.2 | just so he can get a little closure when it comes to the heather and billy chapter sure okay |
