His retirement obscured a major Supreme Court ruling that came down yesterday.

That would have been the political talk of the day if he hadn't retired.

Yeah, this was one I was hot to trot for and went the way I hoped.

The Janice ruling in which the Supreme Court forbids public employee unions from collecting

fees from workers who benefit from their representation, but don't want to join them and

don't like the way they swing politically.

To discuss the ruling, yes, within that effect, being at weekends, these unions power politically.
