Hi, this is Lily DeHoya-Sanderson, and you're listening to Choose and Glory.

Thank you for joining me this week for a brief Easter observance podcast.

There are so many things going on at this season with family and other ways to celebrate and worship. And of course, Easter

Sunday will fall on April conference weekend this year, which is always nice. So we'll hear from

our living prophets in their testimonies of Christ. And as you know, the church has been making a bigger emphasis on acknowledging the time

up to Holy Week and Holy Week itself and certainly Easter celebrations and not having

the second hour, having an Easter program.

You've heard me complain about this before,

because in previous years, in some words,

sometimes you couldn't even tell we were Christian those weekends.

And I am glad that that time is passed

and that under the direction of our leaders

that we are acknowledging with the rest of the Christian world,

this holiest of all holidays that celebrates the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

So I have, on a new fire dose, I have been able to get to my own ward sacrament meeting

a few times this year.

Basically, in the last few weeks, I have made it to our 10.30 ward sacraming.

It's, of course, a pleasure to be with my own ward members, but it has been

not 100% consistent, so I was a little bit concerned about accepting an invitation extended to me

by our new second counselor in the bishopric to speak on this March 29th celebration of Easter

that we will do as a church because Easter Sunday is on April conference.
