I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

Yay, November. I love November. It's my birth month and a crisp fall month, my favorite season, by the way. What do you think of

November? Already started thinking about the holidays. I bet you have, but let's not stress about

that this year, okay? I want to spend our month dedicated to a topic that is one of my most

requested topics to talk about. It's also one of my most favorite, by the way. It is

parenting. Most of you know my husband and I have raised and are currently still raising three kids,

ages 2018 and 16. Yes, you still raise a 20 year old. And yes, we're in that stage where we now

raise young adults and still a couple of teens. It's a different thing altogether,

I can tell you. But I told someone the other day, the past five years, including right now,

are my favorite of my entire life. It's totally true. I didn't say my easiest because,

honestly, they've been some of the more challenging in some ways. But when it comes to parenting,

as with most everything, I think, when you do the hard work

from the start and you stay with God throughout the process, you do get to enjoy the fruit

of that in the end.

Life isn't perfect in our house far, far from it, but it's fun and sometimes hard and good.

So all months, I'm going to talk parenting, and this week will kick off that series with this theme, What to Do When.

Please tell me the repeating of instructions pay off because I'm getting really weary of repeating myself.

I don't know this listener personally, but I could picture her with a little bit younger kids,

maybe toddlers or an elementary age child, with hands full at a constant stream of instructions coming out of her mouth like
